The Talbots: Hungary Days 5 & 6

This is the last of the Hungary pictures, it only took me 5 months to finally finish! On our final tourist day in Hungary we started of the day going to Buda Castle. To get there we either had to climb a zillion stairs or take a dangerously steep tram to the top. Unfortunately the line for the tram was super long so we took the stairs...

The front doors, we stepped inside but it cost money to take the tour so we opted out of it.

These ruins were in back of the castle. We never found out what they were but thought maybe they were from an older castle.

After the castle we walked over to fishermans bastion. It was beautiful and had an amazing view of Pest.

We stopped to get Gyros at another place from Chris's mission. They were really good and I wish we could find similar ones in America.

This is a huge tourist market in downtown. There were two floors packed full of souvenirs. The first floor was just food. There was tons of meat and paprika which Hungary is famous for.

This is one of the food stalls.... just look at all of those paprikas. I unintentionally came home with like 4 separate pouches of paprika because they gave it away with everything.

That night we took a dinner cruise down the Danube river. It was awesome and the food was so good.

Our last day we had to be out of the hotel by 11:00 so we thought we would go check our bags at the airport (which is about 30 min outside the city) and then do some more sight seeing since we didn't fly out until 8:00 that night. When we got there they informed us we could not check anything until 2 hours before our flight. We did not want to haul our luggage around the city so we spent the next six hours sitting at the airport... Not fun. These are pictures of our favorite snacks at the airport haha. The top one is a pastry filled with chocolate and the bottom is Pilota, similar to an oreo.

So when we landed in Moscow it was about 12:30 am, we had no idea where or how we were going to sleep when one of the attendants told us about a hotel in the airport (because you can't leave the airport in Moscow without a visa) so we set off in search of this hotel. The above picture is the entrance to the "capsule hotel". Apparently they are big in Asia and are actual capsules. Luckily ours was not a capsule but a very small room. You had to pay by the hour and it was very expensive but worth every penny when you can sleep comfortably in an airport.
